Horace Lindsay elected Chair of Indian River Democratic Exec Committee

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — Horace Lindsay of Vero Beach has been elected Chair of the Indian River Democratic Executive Committee. The DEC, chartered by the Florida Democratic Party, is the governing body of the Democratic Party in Indian River County.

Lindsay retired to Vero Beach after spending many years in senior executive positions with GTE Corporation. He and wife, Donna Lindsay, serve as volunteers for and sit on the boards of several non-profit organizations in the area.

Lindsay replaces Edward “Eddy” White, who resigned from the Chair position for health reasons. Lindsay stated that Eddy was instrumental in establishing our new office, website, and expanded presence in the community. Lindsay thanked Vice Chair Janet Seeley for her outstanding work as interim Chair during an extremely busy period, and then stated how honored he was to be elected by his fellow DEC members to this important position.

The mission of the Indian River Democratic Executive Committee is to reach Indian River County communities with its principle-centered message, strengthen grassroots infrastructure in preparation for campaigns, and promote Democratic voting for local, state and national candidates.
