Majestic Theatre presents “Creatures of the Deep”

VERO BEACH — Venture into the deep waters of Bermuda to meet undersea creatures at Majestic Theatre’s Science Café on Monday, Feb. 27 at 10 a.m. The featured scientist will be Dr. Edie Widder, Founder and Chief Scientist at Ocean Research and Conservation Association (ORCA).

Dr. Widder will show dramatic underwater footage that was taken from submersibles. Following the film, Dr. Widder and a representative from Triton Subs will give an update about the current race to the abyss.

Admission is free to Team ORCA members and $10 for nonmembers. Team ORCA memberships, which begin at $50 per person, entitle members to free admission to the science cafes and to monthly luncheons with the ORCA scientists.

ORCA, which is a nonprofit marine research organization located at 1420 Seaway Dr. in Fort Pierce, is currently working on the implementation of high-tech instrumentation to observe and analyze the condition of aquatic ecosystems – one being the Indian River Lagoon.

For more information on ORCA and its programs, call (772) 467-1600. Science Café tickets may be purchased on line at www.CinemaWorldonline.com or at the Majestic Theatre Box Office.
