J. Earl Morgan named Indian River Habitat Board Chair

VERO BEACH — At the Indian River Habitat for Humanity Annual Meeting in December, J. Earl Morgan was named chairman of the Board of Directors, taking the reins from outgoing Chairman Todd Heckman.

A banker for 38 years, Morgan is the Senior Vice-President and Managing Director of Personal Client Services of The Northern Trust Company, having been with the Vero Beach bank for 16 years.

He and his wife, Elizabeth, have two daughters, Jessica and Julie. In 2001, Morgan co-chaired the United Way Campaign and currently serves as President of the Board of McKee Botanical Garden.

The terms of Habitat Directors Bruce Barkett and Buzz MacWilliam have ended, and four new members have joined the Board; Diane DeFrancisci, Rene Donars, Rev. Cliff Melvin and Freddie Woolfork.

David Colclough is the new Vice-Chair; Roger LaJoie takes over as Treasurer; and Connie Poppell will continue in the position of Secretary.
