Helen Esposito, 88, died Feb. 9, 2012, at the Sebastian River Medical Center.
She was born in Astoria, N.Y., and moved to Sebastian in 1979 from Fort Lauderdale.
She was a longtime employee of J.C. Penney, both in New York and Vero Beach, before her retirement.
She was a member of St. Sebastian Catholic Church and the Italian-American Club.
Survivors include her sons, Salvatore J. Esposito, of Fort Pierce and John G. Esposito, of Micco; daughter, Jean Tarbell, of Sebastian; sister, Mary Romagna, of Sebastian; one grandchild; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John F. Esposito; and a brother, Joseph Romagna.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Feb. 17 at St. Sebastian Catholic Church.
