VERO BEACH — Team ORCA, the Ocean Research and Conservation Association will present “Mangroves: The Flooded Forest, featuring the filmmaker and ORCA Scientist, Dr. Sarah Frias-Torres, 10 a.m. to Noon Monday, Feb. 13 at the Majestic Theatre in Vero Beach.
Enjoy a cup of java while listening to Dr. Frias-Torres, a leading scientist at Ocean Research and Conservation Association (ORCA) in Ft. Pierce. Hailing from Barcelona, Spain, Dr. Frias-Torres received her Ph.D. from the Florida Institute of Technology (FIT) and is presently conducting research at ORCA on the Goliath Grouper.
In 2005, Sarah received an M.A. in Film Studies at the University of Miami which led her to the production of the film, “Mangroves: The Flooded Forest.”
