Margaret Elizabeth Bazemore, 91, died Jan. 31, 2012, at Indian River Medical Center, Vero Beach.
She was born on Nov. 12, 1920, in Cordova, Tenn.
Bazemore graduated from Germantown High School and was an active member of Cordova Presbyterian Church.
After attending a business college in Memphis, she worked at Memphis Light Gas &Water as a supervisor and for the Naval Base, retiring in Florida after 28 years.
In 1971, Bazemore moved to Winter Park and later moved to Vero Beach.
She belonged to the Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death by her parents Samuel Elbert and Lela Humphreys Bazemore; sisters Leonard, Frances, and Rebecca; and brothers James and Gordon Bazemore, Sr.
Survivors include her nieces Barbara McKenney and Margaret Lynn Caswell; nephews Charles Walker, Gordon Bazemore Jr. and family, James Bazemore, David Bazemore and Phillip Bazemore; her friend of more than sixty years, Lila Bussey; and many other friends in Vero Beach.
Memorial service will take place in the Cordova, Tenn., Presbyterian Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cordova Presbyterian Church.
