Ralph Charles Garris, 89, of Vero Beach, died Thursday, Jan. 26, 2012, at Indian River Medical Center.
He was born Dec. 12, 1922, in Trucksville, Pa., and resided in Dallas, Pa., until moving to Vero Beach 18 years ago.
Garris was a Mason, Shriner and a member of the Dallas United Methodist Church.
He was a World War II Veteran of the Army Air Force.
Garris is survived by his daughter Jennifer (Jay) Hughes, of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; his son Charles (Dolores D. DeCaprio) Garris, of Vero Beach; granddaughters Amy L. Morris, of Dallas, Pa., and Jaclyn M. Garris, of Ponte Verda, and step-granddaughter Michelle Matis, of Orlando.
He was predeceased by his grandson Joel D. Withers of Dallas, Pennsylvania.
No local services will be held.
Internment will take place in Pennsylvania in the spring.
