Mary Cecile Peale, 93, died Jan. 22, 2012, at the Indian River Medical Center in Vero Beach.
She was born in Charleston, S.C., and moved to Vero Beach in 2009, coming from St. Petersburg.
Prior to her retirement, she had worked as a registered nurse for the Veterans Administration in St. Petersburg and had done private duty nursing in the St. Petersburg area.
She was of the Catholic faith.
Survivors include her son, Bill Peale, of Micco; sister, Rosemary Singleton, of Conway, S.C.; brothers, John and Phillip Kennedy, both of Charleston, S.C.; three grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Peale, and a son, Bernie Beale.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
No services are planned locally.
Interment will be at Skyway Memorial Gardens in Palmetto.
