INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — The Humane Society of Vero Beach and Indian River County will be hosting “Alternative Healing for Pets,” a free seminar conducted by Vero Beach veterinarian Lisa Jutras.
The talk will take place on Thursday, Feb. 2 from Noon to 1 p.m. at The Humane Society’s Adoption and Education Building, located at 6230 77th St., Vero Beach.
Jutras will discuss various treatments for animals with a focus on acupuncture. The lecture will also explain how alternative forms of veterinary medicine can be used in conjunction with conventional therapies to relieve a variety of pet ailments.
This event is free but attendees are encouraged to bring pet food, pet toys or gently used blankets and towels to help shelter animals.
