GIFFORD, Fla. – Monday, November 4, 2024– The 18th annual Turkey Share is taking place this year on Monday, November 18th at 5:00 p.m. at the Victor Hart Sr. Community Enhancement Complex in Gifford. To receive a turkey, you must register in advance for a voucher. Voucher registration will occur at the Gifford Youth Achievement Center (GYAC) from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on November 5th, 7th, 12th, and 14th. “Please have a copy of your light bill or another proof of your Indian River County residency at the time of registration,” requests Freddie Woolfork, GYAC’s Director of Public Relations and Facilities Operations. “One turkey per household, please.” For those who wish to donate to the Turkey Share, GYAC will be collecting funds to purchase turkeys. Please make your checks payable to Gifford Youth Achievement Center and write “Turkey Share” on the memo line. You can also donate online. About GYAC Gifford Youth Achievement Center, a 501(c)(3), opened its doors in 1998 with the sole purpose of enhancing the academic performance of children in Indian River County, Florida.
