VERO BEACH — The “Play Bridge for the Children” event to benefit Children’s Home Society of Florida, Treasure Coast Division, is slated for Monday, Jan.30 from 9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Bent Pine Country Club in Vero Beach.
The annual event, which is celebrating its 12th year, features a fun-filled day of playing bridge. There will be prizes for duplicate and party/rubber games and master points for duplicate, all to benefit Children’s Home Society of Florida, Treasure Coast Division services and programs. Registration is open to public.
Cost is $80 per person or $120 for “Barbara’s Team” in memory of Barbara Stark, a long time bridge player, Children’s Home Society of Florida Indian River Advisory Board member and supporter of the organization’s programs and services.
Joining event chair Susan Mehiel to plan the event is the event committee: Lee Ann Arsenault, Susie Bell, Peggy Bradt, Nancy Briggs, Mary Daly, Paula Hallam, Joan McIlwain, Migdalia O’Leary, Nancy Paul, Donna Pottle, Marcia Poutiatine, Gail Reams, Pinky Regan, Marta Schneider, Ginny Swhwerin, Hirley Wertz, Janice Woodbury, administrative assistant Carmella Comboni (compliments of Oak Point Development), and staff including Michelle King, Director of Development, and Dee Benjamin, Development Specialist.
