VERO BEACH – On Saturday, Jan. 21 at 11 a.m., the Dogs for Life Board of Directors will honor its volunteers and donors at the off-leash dog park, located at 12th Street & 16th Avenue in Vero Beach.
The Donor Volunteer appreciation event was re-scheduled due to bad weather in December.
2009-2011 President Al Turner, will present the following awards: Volunteer of the Year Award Eleanor Bengyak, Individual Philanthropist Award Robert G. Bowman, Corporate Philanthropist Award Suzie Gomez, Assistance Dog Team of the Year Norine Coody and Abby, Pet Assisted Therapy Dog Team of the Year Nancy McCusker and Buford, Broadcast Media Award Jill Roberts, Journalism Award Mary E. Schenkel and Al Turner will receive the Past President’s Award.
The event is free and open to the public.
