Roland Guilbault joins Gifford Youth Activity Center board

GIFFORD — Gifford Youth Activity Center welcomes Roland G “Gil” Guilbault to the Board of Directors. Guilbault is a senior executive with more than forty years of combined experience in government and industry in key operational management positions.

Guilbault had a distinguished 34 year career in the Navy and retired in 1994 as a Rear Admiral. In 1987, Rear Admiral Guilbault served as Battle Force Commander aboard the USS Eisenhower CVN-69 in the Mediterranean and in 1984 as a captain.

He was the first Commanding Officer of the first Aegis cruiser USS TICONDEROGA CG-47. After Navy retirement he worked in the Hi Tech Industry with Digital Equipment Corporation and Lucent Technologies Federal Government Branch.

Today, as the Principal of R. G. Guilbault Consulting, he continues to support IT solutions for the Federal Government and international agencies. He is a member of many professional organizations including the Treasure Council of the Navy League.

He and his wife Huguette live in Indian River Shores.

The Gifford Youth Activity Center is a United Way Agency, located at 4875 43rd Avenue in Vero Beach.
