2012 Vero Beach Opera Season announced

VERO BEACH — The 2012 Vero Beach Opera Season promises to be very entertaining, with a spectacular line up of events, all held at the Vero Beach High School Performing Arts Center, 1707 16th Street in Vero Beach. With tickets starting at $20, you don’t want to miss the fun.

Tickets are on sale at the Box Office on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., starting Jan. 3, 2012. Please call 772-564-5537 to purchase tickets with a Visa or MasterCard.

The lineup includes:

Sunday, Jan. 15 at 3 p.m. – Full production with Orchestra of Rossini’s The Barber of Seville

Saturday, Feb. 4 at 7 p.m. – Broadway, Operetta and Zarzuela Concert featuring Phantom of the Opera, Merry Widow, Cuban and Spanish Zarzuela with Miami Opera Academy

Monday, March 12, and Tuesday, March 13 at 2 p.m. both days – Master Classes with Marcello Giordani

Sunday, March 18 at 7 p.m. – Leoncavallo’s I Pagliacci starring Metropolitan Opera Tenor Marcello Giordani. Full production featuring an international cast with Anton Coppola conducting the Brevard Symphony Orchestra
