Robert Paul Caldarone, 71, died Sunday, Dec. 4, 2011 at VNA Hospice House, Vero Beach.
He had recently moved to Vero Beach from Scottsdale, Ariz.
Caldarone was born on Jan. 5, 1940, in Middletown, Conn. to his parents, Eugene and Frances Albiani Caldarone.
His family moved to Medford, Mass., where he graduated at the top of his class and, on scholarship, graduated from Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1961.
He started his professional career with Westinghouse Corp., and then, with Planning Research, he spent time in Vietnam.
Caldarone later became a marketing manager for Ryder Systems based in Miami and then a director of Marketing for Cruise America, Inc of Mesa, Arizona.
Survivors include his two brothers, Eugene P. Caldarone (Helen) and Anthony J. Caldarone (Joyce), of Vero Beach; many nieces nephews, cousins, grandnieces and grandnephews.
A private memorial service and burial for family and friends will be held at 11 a.m. on Dec. 26, 2011, at Crestlawn Cemetery in Vero Beach.
