VERO BEACH — The Vero Beach High School Performing Arts Department would like to extend a special invitation for children, in grades 2 – 8, to experience the bright lights of the stage. Auditions for the upcoming production of Oliver! will be on Saturday, Jan. 7 from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. in the Vero Beach High School Performing Arts Center at 1707 16th Street, Vero Beach, FL 32960.
Participants should wear comfortable clothing for movement and be prepared to sing a simple song. Music reading skills are not necessary, but some dance experience is preferred for certain featuring roles. Come and Have Fun!
Oliver! is based on the classic Dickens novel with music, lyrics and book by Lionel Bart and produced with special arrangement through Tams-Witmark Music Library. Choreography is by Andrew Currie of Dance Space and music direction by Gregory Harris.
The performances are Feb 17 – 19, 2012 at the Vero Beach High School Performing Arts Center.
