J.P. Morgan, 72, died Dec. 12, 2011, at VNA Hospice House, Vero Beach.
He was born in Rising Fawn, Ga., and lived in Sebastian for 55 years, coming from his birthplace.
He worked for River Front Groves Packing House, Indian River Packing House and Gracewood Packing House after his retirement in 2004.
He was a member of First Baptist Church of Fellsmere.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Diane Morgan, of Sebastian; son, Phillip D. Morgan, of Deltona; daughter, Mary A. Mallory, of Cocoa Beach; brothers, Pat Morgan, of Sebastian and Jimmy Morgan, of Fellsmere; sisters, Jenny Simes, of Micco, Barbara Rettemnier, of Vero Beach and Sue Anderson, of Glen Saint Mary; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his grandson, Bobby Mallory; sisters, Velma, Kathleen and Willie; and brothers, Charlie and Sam.

Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Dec. 15 at First Baptist Church of Fellsmere.
A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Dec. 16 at First Baptist Church of Fellsmere with the Rev. David Johns officiating.
Burial will be at Winter Beach Cemetery.
