Ronald Francis Patten Sr., 69, died Dec. 7, 2011, at Sebastian River Medical Center.
He was born in Washington, D.C., and lived in Sebastian.
He was an emergency medical technician in North Wildwood, N.J., and retired in 1994.
He served in the Army during the Vietnam era.
He was a member of Christ The King Lutheran Church, Sebastian.
He was a member of VFW Post No. 10210, Sebastian.
Survivors include his son, Ronald Francis Patten II, of Easley, S.C.; daughters, Angela Patten, of Dennisville, N.J., and Danielle Sadley, of Lawrenceville, N.J.; brother, Donald Patten, of Baltimore, Md.; companion, Susan Peters, of Sebastian; and 13 grandchildren.
