GIFFORD — Authorities are investigating a body found in a Gifford backyard Wednesday evening. The body is well into the decomposition stage and has not yet been identified, according to the Indian River County Sheriff’s Office.
Sheriff’s spokesman Jeff Luther confirmed that a lawn service crew made the discovery at a home in the 4800 block of 61st Court around 5:30 p.m. Wednesday.
There was no other information immediately available for release Thursday morning.
