INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — Celebrating Christmas was a strong tradition for the Hallstrom family of Vero Beach. The Indian River County Historical Society is continuing that tradition with a “Candlelight Christmas” Open House at the Hallstrom House on Sunday, Dec. 11 and Sunday, Dec. 18 from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. each day.
The Open House will feature a Christmas tree decorated in the Hallstrom’s Swedish style, self-guided tours of the House, and holiday goodies from the Society’s members. Tickets for the event are $15 for members, and $20 for nonmembers. Children 12 years and older are welcome.
Tickets are available at the Historical Society office in the Vero Beach Train Station, 2336 14th Avenue, Vero Beach. The Hallstrom House is located at 1723 Old Dixie Highway in Vero Beach, one mile south of Oslo Road.
