David Roberts, 93, of Vero Beach, died Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2011, at Indian River Medical Center.
He was born Aug. 16, 1918, in Monticello and moved to Vero Beach 66 years ago, coming from Monticello.
Survivors include his sons, David Roberts, Jr. and Earl Rudolph Roberts, both of Orlando; daughters, Annie Ruth Starke, of Orlando, Alberta Bell, of Vero Beach, Esther Graves-Stewart, of Washington, DC; son, James Roberts, of Vero Beach; daughters, Shirley Pryor, of Vero Beach, Alvina Glenn, of Vero Beach, Brenda Tillman, of Tallahassee; son, Gary Roberts of Upper Marlboro, Md.; daughter, Judy Straight, of Okeechobee; son, Charles Roberts, of Vero Beach; daughter, Deidra Ausby, of Sebastian; son, Timothy Roberts, of Orlando; daughters, Kimberla Roberts, of Vero Beach, Fannie Dupree, of Vero Beach, Theodora Rowan, of Ridgeland, Miss.; sister-in-law, Edna Turner, of Vero Beach and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Services will be private.
