Benefit hits Gold Record – $25,000 for students and teachers

VERO BEACH — The Education Foundation of Indian River County is pleased to announce that the recent 20-year celebration, “We’re going Platinum,” netted more than $25,000 to support program services for Indian River County students and teachers.

Event Co-Chairs John J. Campione and Patrice Stowe were supported by committee members Gail Kinney and Patricia Donovan to plan the dance themed event that featured a dine-around-dinner; elaborate ice sculptures, a dance band and a live auction lead by Wesley Davis. Platinum records featured the sponsor’s names.

The event proceeds will support the operation of the School Supply Fund, the Sneaker Exchange, the Great Ideas! Grants, the Indian River Regional Science & Engineering Fair, Vision for Reading, and Professional Development Initiatives for teachers and administrators.
