INDIAN RIVER COUNTY – The United Way’s Annual Holiday Citrus Sale will take place from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3 at three Wells Fargo locations: 2001 58th Avenue, Vero Beach; 150 S. US 1, Vero Beach; and 1524 N US 1 in Sebastian.
Local packing houses donate Navel Oranges and Ruby Red Grapefruits for the sale which raises money for the United Way’s annual campaign. The fruit is available in 4/5 bushel cartons for $15 and 2/5 bushel cartons for $10. Shipping is made available at each location through UPS.
Volunteers from the local business community including many Wells Fargo personnel help run the annual event. Now in its 15th year, the Holiday Fruit Sale is an essential fundraiser for the organization and its 32 partner agencies. Since its founding, the fundraiser has raised more than $166,000 for health and human service programs in Indian River County.
