INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — Avoid the shopping madness and join Team ORCA for a relaxing two-hour boat cruise on the day after Thanksgiving, Friday, Nov. 25. The boat will depart from the Ft. Pierce Marina at 10:30 am on Friday and will return at 12:30 pm.
The Ocean Research & Conservation Association (ORCA) in Ft. Pierce is offering a “Day-After Thanksgiving Cruise” with ORCA’s Chief Scientist, Dr. Edie Widder, and Boat Captain and Audubon Warden, Capt. Chop Lege. Captain Chop will take his boat “The Gator” to beautiful locations on the Lagoon that he and his crew have discovered along the way. This special boat cruise will be designed for ORCA members and their guests.
To keep the price affordable, ORCA is suggesting that you bring own turkey sandwich and beverage and Team ORCA will provide the dessert.
Cost for Team ORCA members is $25; non-members $35.
Located in Ft. Pierce, ORCA is a nonprofit organization dedicated to developing high-tech science based approaches to protecting our marine and freshwater areas including the Indian River Lagoon, the most biologically diverse estuary in North America.
