Sebastian C. Arena, 79, died Nov. 15, 2011, at Indian River Medical Center, Vero Beach.
He was born in Stamford, Conn., and lived in Vero Beach for 23 years, coming from Stamford.
He also lived in Naugatuck, Conn.
He was an Air Force staff sergeant veteran.
He was a communicant of St. John of the Cross Catholic Church in Vero Beach and a member of Vero Beach Elks Lodge and the Italian-American War Veterans.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Jean M. Arena, of Vero Beach; daughters, Joyce Rosito, Barbara “Bobbie” Jean Cahill, Carol-Lynn Arena and Sharon Palmer, all of Connecticut; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Anna Danford; and brother, Nicholas Arena.
A funeral Mass and inurnment will be in Connecticut at a later date.
