VERO BEACH — Main Street Vero Beach begins its Christmas Celebration with Christmas in Downtown on Friday, Nov. 25. The traditional Downtown Friday Street Party starts earlier than usual at 3:30 p.m. and runs to 8:30 p.m. Downtown Friday is an event for the whole family.
The street becomes the dance floor with music by Fossil Rockers brought to you by Consulate Health Care. Along with the music, Santa will be making a special appearance and boys and girls will have a chance to speak to him about Christmas.
There will be games and treats for children, food vendors, soda, Budweiser Beers and wine. This event features craft, business and community booths along 14th Avenue between 20th and 21st Streets. This is a great opportunity to get out of the house and come to Downtown Vero Beach to dance, listen to music, have dinner, entertain the kids and do a little holiday shopping.
MSVB Design Committee will have a restaurant gift certificate drawing to raise funds for Downtown Beautification Day. Osceola Bistro, Fishak and The French Quarter have donated to the project. The work will take place on Saturday, Dec. 3 and aims to clean and dress up the area with painting, cleaning, replanting landscaped areas and lamppost flower baskets.
