Alice Mae Rawlinson, 75, Vero Beach

Alice Mae Rawlinson, 75, died Nov. 11, 2011, at her home.

She was born in Montgomery, Ala., and lived in Vero Beach for more than 25 years.

She received her education at Montgomery Academy in Alabama.

She was employed at Huntington College in Alabama for 25 years as a culinary artist.

She was a member of Community Deliverance Temple under the leadership of Elder C.D. Weems and later joined the Church of Christ in Vero Beach under the leadership of Brother Timothy Bradley.

Survivors include her husband, Algie Rawlinson, of Prattville, Ala.; daughters, Sarah Massey and Romona Hurst, both of Vero Beach; sisters, Claudia Williams, of Montgomery, Johnnie Lee Roberts, of Vero Beach, Jackie Hall and Dempry Haley, of Lownesboro, Ala., Rosie Mason, of Whitehall, Ala., Elizabeth Roberts and Mary Davis, of Boston; brothers, Monroe Roberts and Albert Roberts, of Montgomery and James Roberts, of Fort Walton Beach; 19 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Ollie Harris; daughter, O’Lenda Young; son, Bruce Harris; sister, Johnnie Mae Grimes; and brothers, Freeman Davis, Bob Roberts and Bo Davis.

Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Nov. 18 at the Church of Christ in Vero Beach.

A homegoing celebration will be at 11 a.m. Nov. 19 at the church with the Rev. Timothy Bradley officiating.

Burial will follow in Gifford Cemetery in Gifford.
