VERO BEACH — The Vero Beach High School Competitive Theatre Ensemble will present “Blue Collar Blues” on Saturday, Nov. 19, at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 20, at 2 p.m. in the VBHS Performing Arts Center, 1707 16th Street, Vero Beach.
With special arrangement through Samuel French and directed by Dee Rose-Imbro, this light comedy written by Denise Kay Dillard centers around a small town in the south when the local mill is laying off workers and the place is beginning to look like a ghost town. A parade of quaint characters graces the stage with juicy gossip.
This production reflects on our own current economic situation in the United States and around the world; it is “a timely piece of theatre” that involves over 50 Indian River County students.
All seating is reserved at $10 for Mezzanine Level and $12 for Orchestra Level.
