Robert O. Wilson, 88, of Sebastian, died on Monday, Nov. 7, 2011, at Sebastian River Medical Center.
He was born on Sept. 29, 1923, in Kentucky and was a resident of Sebastian for twenty eight years, coming from Metamora, Ind.
He was a welder for General Motors.
He was a World War II veteran of the United States Marine Corp, and attended New Hope Ministries Church in Winter Beach.
Survivors include his wife of 69 years, Arveedus Wilson, of Sebastian; two sons Hobie Wilson, of Sebastian and Edward Wilson, of Connersville, Ind.; two daughters Roberta Baker, of Vero Beach and Diane Sullivan, of Vero Beach; 18 grandchildren; numerous great and great-great grandchildren; brother James Wilson, of Connersville, Ind.; and two sisters Ruby Halpin, of Metamora, Ind. and Mary Francis Collins, of Metamora.
He is predeceased by two sons Ray and Jerry Wilson, four brothers, Wallace, Cecil, Gene, and Buck, and two sisters, Idie and Hazel.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, Nov. 11, 2011, at 2 p.m., at New Hope Ministries Church in Winter Beach.
