Clarence Nicholas “Clep” Epsilantis, 83, Fellsmere

Clarence Nicholas “Clep” Epsilantis, 83, died Nov. 8, 2011, at VNA Hospice House, Vero Beach.

He was born in Baltimore and lived in Fellsmere for 22 years, coming from Annapolis, Md.

He worked as a conductor for B & O Railroad in Maryland for more than 42 years.

He served in the Marine Corps during World War II.

He was a member of the Lion’s Club in Fellsmere.

Survivors include his sons, Nicholas Epsilantis and Clarence A. Epsilantis, both of Fellsmere; daughter, Cynthia Fischer, of Sebastian; stepdaughter, Annette Casas; 10 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Loretta; and stepson, Joseph Quinn.

Visitation will be from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Nov. 9 at Strunk Funeral Home in Sebastian, with military honors at 1:30 p.m. by the Sebastian Area Veterans Honor Guard.

A service will be at 11 a.m. Nov. 10 at the funeral home with the Rev. Constantine Xanthakis of St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, as celebrant.

Burial will be at Sebastian Cemetery, Sebastian.
