Annabelle d’Arche McCarthy, 93, Vero Beach

Annabelle d’Arche McCarthy, 93, died Oct. 28, 2011, at Indian River Medical Center, Vero Beach.

She was born in Hartford, Conn., and lived in Vero Beach for two years, coming from Fort Lauderdale.

She was chairman of the Personnel Advisory Board of Broward County, a member of the Democratic Executive Committee of Broward County, past president of the Fort Lauderdale Democratic Club and an elected official of District 52R in Broward County.

She attended Juilliard School of Music.

Survivors include her daughter, Lee Albro, of Vero Beach; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Webster Hill Wilson and Joseph Paul McCarthy; and daughter, Joan Wilson Tuttle.

Services will be at a later date in West Hartford.

Arrangements are by Strunk Funeral Home and Crematory Vero Beach, Florida.
