Lois Elaine Petty, 84, died Oct. 29, 2011, at VNA Hospice House, Vero Beach.
She was born in Detroit and moved to Vero Beach two months ago, coming from Greenacres.
She was a member of the First Church Christ Scientist in Boynton Beach, where she served in their reading room and as a church usher.
Survivors include her daughters, Christina A. Krauz, of Grand Marais, Minn., and Deborah L. Wood, of Vero Beach; son, Thomas E. Petty, of Clinton, Mich.; five grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry H. Petty.

A graveside service will be at the White Chapel Cemetery in Troy, Mich., at a later date.
