Donald Louis Mazzaia, 68, died Oct. 28, 2011, at Sebastian River Medical Center, Roseland.
He was born in Michigan City, Ind., and lived in Sebastian for 10 years, coming from Gales Ferry, Conn.
He worked for Electric Boat in Groton, Conn., and retired from Pfizer Inc. He was a Navy veteran. He was a member of St. Sebastian Catholic Church in Sebastian.
He was a life member of Gales Ferry Fire Co. in Connecticut and served as chief.
Survivors include his wife Joan Mazzaia; brother David Mazzaia of Muncie, Ind.; son, Christopher Mazzaia of South Windham, Conn.; daughters, Julie Whipple of Bozrah, Conn., and Sherry Kiely of Gales Ferry, Conn.; and six grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Oct. 31 at Seawinds Funeral Home Chapel in Sebastian.
Services also will be conducted in Connecticut at a later date.
