Lucia Hobart Bravo, 89, died Oct. 25, 2011, at her home.
She was born in Troy, Ohio, and lived in Vero Beach for 14 years, coming from her birthplace.
She was a graduate of Smith College, Northampton, Mass.
She was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Vero Beach.
She was on the board of directors of McKee Botanical Gardens; the Vero Beach Museum of Art education board; a member of the Smith College Club of Vero Beach; the Indian River Land Trust; and past president of the Hobart Landing Home Owners Association.
Survivors include her sons, Alexandre H. Bravo, of Vero Beach and Stephen L. Bravo, of Wolfeboro, N.H.; daughters, Elizabeth B. Benson, of Vero Beach, Sylvia B. Larsen, of Concord, N.H., and Hylton B. Hard, of Seattle, Wash.; brothers, William H. Hobart Jr., of Troy and Peter C. Hobart, of Rome, Italy; 12 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert B. Bravo; son, Jonathan C. Bravo; and sister, Marcia H. Howell.

Memorial services will be conducted in Troy and Vero Beach at a later date.
