John Paul Kistler, Sr., 75, Vero Beach

John Paul Kistler, Sr., 75, died on Friday, Oct. 14, 2011, following a brief illness.

Kistler was born June 25, 1936, in Pittsburgh, Pa.

He graduated from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh and lived in Vero Beach for 45 years.

He was a realtor in Vero Beach for over 30 years.

He also coached local youth athletics for over a decade.

Survivors include his wife, Geraldine; two sons, John Jr. and Timothy; four brothers and sisters, Donald Kistler, Wayne Kistler, Joline Frederick and Karen Egan; four step- children, Joseph, Patrick, Theresa and Camille; nephews, nieces, in-laws and dear friends.

A memorial will take place on Thursday, Oct. 20, 2011, from 4-7 p.m. at the Cox Gifford Seawinds Funeral Home in Vero Beach.

A prayer service will take place at 6:30 p.m.

A Catholic Mass will be celebrated the following morning on Friday, Oct. 21, 2011, at 10 a.m. at St. Helen Catholic Church.

Interment will be at Crestlawn Cemetery in Vero, followed by a reception in the North Room of St. Helen.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the charity of one’s choice or simply help someone in need during these difficult economic times in memory of Paul.
