INDIAN RIVER COUNTY – A woman and her dog were rescued from a car that careened into a ditch in the area of 43rd Avenue and Oslo Road Tuesday morning. The vehicle was partially submerged.
According to Assistant Fire Chief Brian Burkeen, the woman’s vehicle ended up in the ditch as the result of a two-vehicle crash.
No injuries were reported.
Fire Rescue used a ladder truck to assist the woman in climbing out of the ditch.
“It looked ugly,” Chief Burkeen said of the result of the crash.
The woman has not been identified.
Charges from the crash are pending the outcome of the investigation.
