Thursday, July 30, 2026, INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, Fla. – With the six-month Atlantic hurricane season underway, Senior Resource Association (SRA) worked with Florida Power & Light Company (FPL) to distribute hurricane preparedness meal kits to seniors in Indian River County. This effort, also in partnership with the Florida Council on Aging, provides vital supplies to vulnerable seniors in the communities the companies serve.

Each kit, courtesy of FPL, includes three days of shelf-stable food, water and snacks for seniors who may not be able to leave their homes or receive home-delivered meals immediately after a storm.
