Nancy G. Winter, 70, died Oct. 10, 2011, at her home.
She was born in Chicago and lived in Vero Beach for nine years, coming from her birthplace.
She was a graduate of New Trier High School, Winnetka, Ill., and earned her bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University, East Lansing, Mich.
She was a jewelry designer.
She owned and operated Winter Designs of Vero Beach.
She was a member of John’s Island Club, Indian River Shores.
Survivors include her sons, David Schwartz, of New York City and Alex Schwartz, of Durham, N.C.; and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Schwartz; son, John Winter; and sister, Joan Gallagher.

Services and interment will be held privately in Lake Forest, Ill.
A memorial service will be in Vero Beach at a later date.
