Joseph A. Pelletier, 71, died Oct. 4, 2011, at Indian River Medical Center, Vero Beach.
He was born in Waterbury, Conn., and lived in Vero Beach for 12 years, coming from Plantsville, Conn.
He was a veteran of the Navy.
Before retirement, he was a truck driver for New Penn in Connecticut for 35 years.
He was a member of the Teamsters union, the Veterans of Foreign Wars and Car Club in Waterbury.
Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Louise Pelletier, of Vero Beach; sisters, Emma Mezzanotte, of Old Orchard Beach, Maine, and Teresa Corcorane, of Waterbury; and brothers, Larry Pelletier and Robert Pelletier, both of Southington, Conn.
