Eugenia Ring Schricker, 85, died Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2011 at her home in Indian River Estates West in Vero Beach.
Born in Los Angeles, Calif., Schricker moved to Wilmont Flat, N.H., as an infant riding in a Model A Ford.
She graduated from Manchester High School West and The Elliot Hospital School of Nursing.
She was predeceased by her husband of 63 years, Otto Schricker, Jr.
Survivors include her sister Shirley Green, of Missoula, Mont.; children Thomas Schricker, of Verona, N.J., Karl Schricker, of Phoenix, Ariz., Cathy Johnson (David), of Trappe Pa., P. Joy Schricker, of Montpelier, Vt.; five grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Schricker lived in Cranford, NJ for over 30 years.
In 1986 she and Otto moved to Ft. Pierce and became an active member of the First Presbyterian Church of Vero Beach where she sang in the choir and participated in the women’s circle ministry.
Schricker and her husband moved into Indian River Estates in 2001 and continued to enjoy an active retirement lifestyle.
An avid traveler, Schricker and her husband lived for short periods in Iran, Sri Lanka and Venezuela.
She enjoyed trips throughout Eastern and Western Europe, Africa, Asia, and Australia.
A memorial service will be held in the chapel at Indian River Estates West on Friday Oct. 7, 2011 at 1 p.m.
