FELLSMERE – The Fellsmere Police Department is hosting its annual National Night Out event at the park near Fellsmere City Hall on Tuesday, Oct. 4, from 5:30 to 8 p.m.
National Night Out is designed to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness, generate support for and participation in local anti-crime, personal safety efforts. Ultimately, the end result is to strengthen neighborhood spirit through community, business and local law enforcement partnerships. The intention is to send a message to criminals letting them know neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.
The Fellsmere Police Department will host a variety of special events, K-9 demonstrations courtesy of other local law enforcement agencies, multi-agency law enforcement display, child fingerprinting and identification, and more.
