Harry W. Von Duhn, 85, of Sebastian, died Thursday, Sept. 15, 2011, at VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach.
Von Duhn was born Sept. 14, 1926, in Cliffside, N.J., and moved to Sebastian 22 years ago, from Mayetta, N.J.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
He was a carpenter with L.U. #1489 in Burlington, N.J.
Survivors include daughters Susan Strutz & husband, Guy, of Ormond Beach, JoAnn Hopkins & husband, Ray, of Georgetown, Del., and son, George Ryll & wife, Barbara, of Sebastian; grandchildren John Strutz, A.J. Strutz, Matt Cranmer and Amy Bechard; great-grand daughter, Ella Cranmer.
Von Duhn was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Von Duhn, daughter, Elaine Ryll, son-in- law, Skip Cranmer and grandchildren, Chip Ryll and Stephanie Ryll.
His family wishes to thank the staff of The Arbors at the Lakes at Pointe West and Health South, both of Vero Beach for the wonderful care they have shown Harry during his stays.
No services are scheduled.
