Shirley M. Zimmerman, 85, died Sept. 14, 2011, at Rosewood Manor, Vero Beach.
She was born in Gary, Ind., and lived in Vero Beach since 1986, coming from Orland Park, Ill.
Before retirement, she was a waitress in Chicago.
She was a member of the First Church of God in Vero Beach.
Survivors include her son, Jerry Zimmerman, of Vero Beach; five grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Zimmerman; son, Arthur T. Zimmerman; and one grandchild.
Memorial contributions may be made to the VNA/Hospice Foundation, 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32960.
A memorial service will begin at 2 p.m. Sept. 23 at the Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home in Vero Beach with the Rev. Bill Jerrils officiating.
