Jean Crayton Collinson, 95, died in Vero Beach.
Collinson was the 1936 homecoming queen at The Ohio State University and was an ardent OSU football fan.
She was an active member and contributor to various organizations, including the Riverside Theater, Vero Beach Art Museum, Barrington RI Presbyterian Church, Vero Beach Humane Society and the Pi Beta Phi sorority.
She had been a member of the John’s Island Club where she loved to play duplicate bridge.
She enjoyed gardening and had been a member of garden clubs in three states.
Survivors include son Jeffrey Collinson and his wife Sharon Jenks Collinson, of Hobe Sound; daughter Jill Collinson, of Indian River Shores; grandchildren Robin C. Newman, her husband Peter, their children Abigail and Charles; Christianne C. Lurie, her husband Sebastian; and Andrew J. J. Collinson, his wife Melanie and their son Robert.
Collinson was preceded in death by her husband Joseph B. Collinson, former Chairman of Textron, Inc.
Services will be private.
