FELLSMERE — The US Merchant Marines and US Navy Armed Guard veterans who served in World War II will meet Sept. 17 at Marsh Landing in Fellsmere.
“Your 90-day leave is over,” wrote member Clarence “Korky” Korker, “You are ordered to report to duty.”
There will be an open menu and everyone is welcome.
The speaker will be Tim Hanson, USAF (RET) from Port St. Lucie. He spent over 20 years in the USAF as a combat pilot. On his last official Air Force flight while on duty in Saudi Arabia he had mid-air collision, and lived to tell about it.
“Come and hear his amazing story and see his photos,” Korker wrote.
