VERO BEACH — Beginning Monday, Sept. 12, Live Oak Road will be closed to thru traffic between Mockingbird Drive and SR A1A until further notice for roadway and drainage construction.
It will be kept accessible to immediate area residents only.
Don Luchetti Construction, Inc. of Melbourne will be performing the work under contract with the City of Vero Beach Public Works Department.
The scheduled completion of this project is early March 2012.
This project is to improve drainage in the area by raising the current elevation of Live Oak Road between Mockingbird Drive and State Road A1A and installing new underground stormwater treatment and conveyance system facilities.
Residents should keep in mind that this is a construction zone and heavy equipment will be in use, therefore, please keep exposure to this construction zone at a minimum to avoid potential injury.
