George C. Owens, 72, of Sebastian, died Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2011, at Sebastian River Medical Center.
Owens was born Oct. 12, 1938, in Ironton, Ohio, and moved to Sebastian seven years ago from Columbus, Ohio.
He was a mechanic with Ryder Truck Rental and Sales in Columbus.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Norma Owens, of Sebastian; daughter Stephene Hohman, of Columbus, Ohio; three grandchildren; one great granddaughter; two brothers Richard Owens, of Ohio and Robert Owens, of Calif.; and sister Catherine Frazier, of Ohio.
Owens was predeceased by his parents George Owens and Lona Zeleles.
No services are scheduled.
