Emile Ouellette, Jr., 84, of Vero Beach, died Thursday, Sept. 1, 2011, at Sebastian River Medical Center.
He was born April 17, 1927, in Salem, Mass., and moved to Barefoot Bay 28 years ago from Peabody, Mass.
Ouellette was owner of Emile’s Wholesale Meat and Byproducts in Massachusetts and worked at Barefoot Bay Community Pool.
He was a member of the Barefoot Bay Golf and Country Club, the New England Club of Barefoot Bay, and Knights of Columbus in MA.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Audrey Ouellette, of Vero Beach; son William Ouellette, of Lynn, Mass.; two daughters, Kathleen Mulgrew, of Indiana, Pa., and Lori Devereaux, of Londonderry, N.H.; seven grandchildren, five great grandchildren; and sister Rita Downing of Swampscott, Mass.
He is predeceased by three brothers, Phillip, Raymond, and Ernest.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2011, at 11 a.m. at Seawinds Funeral Home Chapel in Sebastian.
Reception will follow at St. Sebastian Catholic Church Fellowship Hall.
