My little dog Rio has been a part of our family for two and half months now. He has really spiced up our lives.
Rio loves to play. He likes to play with his toys, he likes to play with Jesse and he likes to play with me.
My clients sometimes tell me they gave their dog a toy and he chewed it up. That’s why we have dog toys! Better to chew up a 2- or 3-dollar toy than your hundred-dollar athletic shoes or your furniture.
I have discovered Dollar Store toys last just as long as more expensive toys, about 5 minutes!
I let my dogs destroy fleece toys as long as they don’t ingest the materials.
If I want a toy to last longer, I used treat dispensing toys like Kongs and Kibble Nibbles. These are available at the Humane Society store in the Mall among other places.
If I want my dogs to have a relaxing chew, I give them a Bully Stick. These smoked beef tendons are a great diversion and give dog owners some down time from their playful pets!
