INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — The Humane Society of Vero Beach & Indian River County invites members of the community to its sixth annual “No Flea Market.” The event will be held on Saturday Sept. 17, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Humane Society’s Adoption and Education Center, located at 6230 77th Street, Vero Beach.
The HSVB & IRC Thrift Shop staff and volunteers work throughout the year selecting unique and desirable items for this super sale.
“We like to say ‘No fleas, no junk!'” said Humane Society Thrift shop manager Annette Barcus.
According to Barcus, this year’s selection has hundreds of new and unused items including jewelry, house wares, furniture, collectibles, fashion accessories, Halloween and Christmas items, books, and more.
The No Flea Market also provides a great opportunity for animal lovers to visit the Adoption Center and learn more about the many services the Humane Society provides throughout the community.
The HSVB & IRC also has its new “All for Paws” boutique in the Indian River Mall at 6200 20th Street as well as two thrift shops in Indian River County. The Vero Beach shop is located at 4445 20th Street in Vero Beach and the other is at 441 Sebastian Blvd (Rt. 512) in Sebastian.
The proceeds from the mall store, both thrift shops and the “No Flea Market” are a main source of financial support for homeless animals.
“Shopping at the Humane Society’s two thrift shops and at our mall boutique is a wonderful way to help Indian River County animals and find incredible deals,” Barcus said.
